Off to Mission Territories
Happy Feast of St Peter Chanel!
On Thursday evening I'm departing for a few days holiday to the island state of Tasmania, which continues in its unique battle for the Faith, as it has from the beginning. Bishop Ullathorne called it a 'cesspool', priests went mad, the faithful wavered. At present, Tasmania hasn't a seminarian. And yet, it is perhaps the most beautiful place in the country.
Tasmania has a remnant of fervent, faithful soldiers, who I am looking forward to meeting very much. The Classical Liturgy is celebrated in the Archdiocese of Hobart on the first Sunday of the month, with more information at the Tassie Trads blogsite. Please pray for the Church in Tasmania.
Dominus regnavit, exsultet terra: laetentur insulae multae!
