New Vocations Video at FSSP.org

There is a beautiful video presentation now available on the international FSSP website. It is titled 'Called to become a priest...' It is available to view online or to download. It brought tears to my eyes - men, what are you waiting for? Grab your bags heavenly recruits, and off you go! The video is very sweetly European with familiar voice and faces.

Yeah, I saw that a while ago. Pretty cool. Whose is the voice?

I'm always impressed by the French sems wearing scarves with choir dress. I suppose this is why they made fur-lined surplices in the past. Sigh.

Speaking of the FSSP, I was just having a look at traditio.com to see what their latest criticism's of the Church were and someone had written in asking for an "insight" into the upcoming FSSP General Chapter.

The "insight" provided was:
1. The FSSP and its current Superior General, Fr Devillers, are "puppets" of the Vatican.
2. The very existence of the FSSP is just an attempt to pacify those who wish to preserve the Latin mass and prevent them joining the SSPX.
3. The FSSP ie being "forced" to "compromise" its position on the Latin mass.
4. The General Chapter will continue to "tow the line" and "blindly follow" the Vatican. [NB While the previous quotes were from the article, these are my own.]

I don't know about you readers but this seems pretty close to being defamation.

Is the voice Father DeMalleray? Have you heard from Gratz, dear Joannes?

Well Jude, I know that I am looking forward to Vespers on Sunday!

I agree the voice does sound awfully like Abbe DeMalleray. The English pronunciation is perhaps too good to be anyone else and the soft accent reminds me of his sermon in Germany.

Which reminds me, I want everything taped in 2008. Perhaps the good Father has a copy of his lovely sermon?

And not only his, there are several sermons and lectures that I would love to reread. Maybe some of you Aussies could try to get the sermon of Kard Pell?
