Two Juventutem articles from the English-speaking press

For reference purposes - these are rather old.

Blogger Boeciana:

Thanks for posting the links.

Ooh, that American one isn't bad.

I still find the Tablet article rather bemusing - the bit about Brazil is interesting, but for the rest, he remarkably omits (despite the headline) to investigate the appeal of the Tridentine Rite for young folk. It strikes me as problematic that, should anyone holding the usual misconceptions (Vatican II produced the new Mass; the laity are excluded in the old rite; trads probably tend towards schism) read this article, he would probably come away with his opinions confirmed rather than challenged. I am troubled by the way the author glosses over the disjunction between the Conciliar documents and the actual reforms, and indeed between pre-Council liturgical reform ideas and what actually happened.

Aaaanyway... I know, I'm being too negative about this...

Aristotle, I liked your remarks on the purpose of this blog.
