I'm not.
The German one at WYD 2008 was great (not sure if it was the official song but possibly was) and went like this:
"Du bist der Papst fur einer besserer Welt. Der Mensch hat sagt: 'die Hoffnung fur diese Welt'"
Which translates as:
"You are the Pope for a better world. The people have said: 'the hope for the world'"
All to a very cheesey tune. Great stuff.
And of course, 'Jesus Christ, You are my Life' looks like it's going to earworm for decades. Perfectly good text, but mad choon.
Jesu Christe - Tu es vita mea. Much better.
All I remember was hearing the WYD2005 one in English and wanting to cry or throw up.
Look at the official rules under Evangelisation and "Emotional Feel." Yikes.
And hey, why just Aussies?
