"Sydney Youth Day to be in July"

The next celebration of World Youth Day, scheduled to take place in Sydney, Australia, in 2008 will be held in July of that year, according to Cardinal George Pell.Unlike the, ahem, hot and humid weather we were prepared to experience in Bavaria and Cologne, there seems to be little chance of either in Sydney, so pack accordingly.
Cardinal Pell told the I Media news agency that the World Youth Day festivities would be held in July -- probably July 8 through 15. He cautioned, however, that the dates and the theme for the event must be confirmed by the Vatican.

The dates selected coincide with school holidays here, and surely Catholic schools will plan around the dates. It means to that the 'days of encounter', which will include Melbourne, will hopefully fall around the great feast of Sancti Petri et Pauli! :) The weather will be considerably cooler than Germany of course, say between 12 and 22 degrees celsius.
Should be 'it means too'...
