Expectations for Juventutem 2008

Now that WYD for 2005 has well and truly passed, and fast disappearing into the mists of time, and with the benefit of nearly 3 months hindsight, I'm wondering what sort of things people would like to see in Sydney in 2008? Suggestions, improvements, ideas gratefully appreciated. For example, should there be more opportunities for daily Office, perhaps more catechesis, more freedom or less freedom to pick and choose events etc

Any information would be helpful. Thank you.

Even though I was not at Juventutem I heard many reports that it was a wonderful event. From what I have heard from people that did attend it, I think there needs to be more 'activities' (talks, group discussions, mini-pilgrimage through the streets, seminar on a particular religious topic... the list is endless! - that's the easy part. The other easy part is organizing it!)

The very fact that it is going to be in Australia is going to make it a lot different to anything that would be held in Europe. I'm still thinking about some things...

A good thing would be to make people aware of Juventutem in some more countries... I'm working for this in Italy with some people of Juventutem France (by the way, please pray for our efforts... many thanks to everyone).

I also agree with Xavier... having more talks, group discussing and more socializing would be also a good idea... also among people from different countries; I remember a French friend who told me she liked the experience but they were most of time just French among French people, so they lacked one of the main features of these meetings... the "catholicity" of being people of different cultures gathered by one Faith.

We'll se what we can do... going to Australia will be so exciting, wow... I've never been there and can't even figure how it is :)
